2012 Presidential Debate Watch Party

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

TIME: Bar opens - 8:00 p.m.; Debate - 9:00–10:30 p.m.
PRICE: $10 cover charge; light hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
EVENT TYPE: Evening Watch Party

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton of DC will come and give remarks on the election at 8 p.m.

The debate will focus on domestic policy and be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topics to be selected by the moderator and announced several weeks before the debate.

The moderator, Jim Lehrer (Host of NewsHour on PBS) will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Jim Lehrer will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.
