WNDC Supports New Retirement System
February 18, 2010

On Wednesday, April 21st, the WNDC Board of Governors voted to lend its support to Retirement USA's Core Principles for a New Retirement System: Working for a Universal, Secure,and Adequate Retirement System. A retirement system for the 21st century, building upon what mechanisms are currently in place, is needed now, and approaches are being studied by Retirement USA. As a signatory, WNDC joins such renowned organizations as the National Women's Law Center; OWL, the Voice of Midlife and Older Women,;Campaign for America's Future, and American Association of University Women, as a Supporter of the Retirement USA Principles. WNDC concurs that we should have a retirement system that "leaves no worker behind, one that ensures everyone a retirement of dignity after a lifetime of work."
